Everyday people: Power of the written word

Saeed Saeed has been in Kalgoorlie seeking a professional mining job for a week. He's got two cooking jobs in the meantime, after looking for work in 50 shops.

I showed him his profile on this blog.

"I was not aware of my effort until I read about it," he told me right now. "I thought yeah, I went to 50 shops!"

When you write something, it goes from the
subconscious to conscious, he says.

He has goals — for his career and his personal development. He writes them down and sometimes he tells himself them over and over.

"There is a quote I like from Mohammad Ali. I will show you how great I am.

"Once, I wrote it 1,000 times," said Saeed. "I will show you all, and myself."
